The 72nd Boathouse, aka "The Island"

72nd Reading Sea Scout Group's Boathouse and Island is an activity centre and campsite with direct access to the River Thames.

The site is ideally located for paddlers on the midstretches of the River Thames, upstream of Reading.

The site supports "Green Field" overnight camping for small groups and day access for canoeing and pulling using the boathouse's boats.

The Island makes an ideal venue for a short weekend water activity camp or a stop over point on a longer expedition trek.
